"Just consider me the best cocktail party story you ever met." - Julian Noble

Brief Synopsis
A failing businessman meets an unusual hitman in Mexico City, forming a friendship that changes both of their lives.
Why It's Here
As unusual as the concept itself, "The Matador" is an out-of-the-ordinary buddy action film. Two polar opposites meet at a bar, one a dull businessman with a tragic past and troubled future, another a hitman who breaks the stereotypes of his morbid profession, he has no friends and is socially awkward. A bond is formed between the duo that is linked together by the powerfully charismatic Pierce Brosnan as the assassin in need of friendly advice, and the reluctant role of Greg Kinnear bringing gravity to Brosnan's off-the-wall mannerisms. Together, the two top-notch actors bounce off one another in one of the most unlikely enjoyable films of 2005. "The Matador" is genuinely entertaining, funny, and exciting, but it is easily mistaken for throwaway entertainment, look closer, this is a keeper.
