ANCHORMAN:
THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY
dir: Adam McKay

Not so fast, you ingrates. Public News Team is taking a break from its pledge drive to kick some ass. No commercials, no mercy! - Public TV News Anchor

Brief Synopsis
It's the 60's and Ron Burgundy and his Channel 6 news team are the number 1 rated news team on television. All that is threatened when a female anchorwoman is hired as a co-anchor for Burgundy.
Why It's Here
Instantly quotable, outrageous and hilarious. Anchorman is memorable just because of how unafraid it is to be completely idiotic. And every bit of it works! Ferrell haters can try to deny Mr. Burgundy, but if you claim to not like him, you're a liar. The entire Channel 4 News team is great, especially Steve Carrell's Brick who makes the movie. An awesome street fight that is so epic, it has Braveheart running in fear. None of it makes any real sense, but it doesn't even matter, it's just that funny. Drink it in, San Diego, it always goes down smooth.
Lesson Learned
Women are people too! Also, the 70's is incredibly tacky while at the same time being totally awesome.
Memorable Moment
Obviously, the cameo-infested street fight. "Tonight's top story: the streets run red with Burgundy's blood!"
Watch Out For
The obviously plush dog being kicked from the bridge in that legendary scene. The fact that they went to literally no lengths to show a dog being realisticallly drop-kicked makes it twice as hilarious.
